Cool Smoke Rub
Yields a generous 1½ cups
This rub takes me back to the beginning of my barbecue journey. Initially I loved the tastes found in Kansas City Style barbecue and this rub is my take on this style. This rub goes well with chicken, pork, beef and seafood.

½ cup turbinado sugar
¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons kosher salt
¼ cup Smoked Chili Powder (recipe to follow)
