Coffee Rub
Yields a generous ½ cup
The coffee in this rub brings a nice Unami and savory quality to steaks.
What you need:
4 tablespoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons cracked black pepper
2 tablespoons medium roast ground coffee
1 tablespoon brown sugar
½ teaspoon freshly ground cumin
½ teaspoon cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon chipotle powder
What to do:
In a small bowl, mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
